Edmonton's Triumphant Third Energy Adventure!

Kids visiting this year's Science Rendezvous event had the chance to collect 10 exclusive Energy Adventures educational trading cards.
Saturday, May 11, 2024, was a day filled with learning, playing, button-making, and science! For the third year in a row, Future Energy Systems (FES) hosted a successful Energy Adventure event in partnership with TELUS World of Science - Edmonton (TWOSE) and Canada’s national science festival, Science Rendezvous.
More than 1,700 kids and adults participated in the 2024 Energy Adventure, spending their afternoons learning about energy, playing science games, and talking to researchers about their work. In total, over 120 volunteers were spread across 28 interactive stations throughout the science centre.
This year’s Energy Adventure featured a popular new feature: kids had the chance to collect 10 limited edition cards featuring characters from the Energy Adventures of Tommy and Remi. Following their Science Rendezvous debut, these cards will be available during FES-supported events, so anyone who didn’t collect them all will have to find an upcoming energy adventure at TWOSE or join FES in the Innovation Hub at Edmonton’s K-Days festival from July 26-28.
